Here are some of our favorite literary journals that specifically request microfiction with up to a maximum of 400 words in their submission guidelines. Each journal has its own word count requirement. If you know of others, let us know and we’ll check them out. Before submitting your work, be sure to review their complete guidelines. And it’s always a good idea to read stories a journal has published to help you determine if your work meshes with their style.
