PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Spring planting season is nearing. You might not be able to plant gooseberries in your location. A law introduced in 1926 and still in effect in some U.S. states prohibits the cultivation of members of the Ribes genus, which includes gooseberries, because of white pine blister rust. Contact your local authorities for guidance.
