I Dreamt of Dust

Meet me there, at the road where there are two diners across the street from each other, where the fields behind them lie open to the sky, begging for rain. On one side, heavy clouds hang low and make a bruised music; on the other, a pristine blue sends light as clear as glass. Meet me at the diner under the storm about to rage. Inside, it is full of people dancing: coffee cups are shaking, women’s boots are stomping, onions grilling, men’s dresses twirling: we are eating! We are not waiting for the rain. Meet me here.
