I’ve caught that disease where every time you blink, you see a face. If you keep your eyes closed, the face fades. Oh, what’s it called? Something ominous. There are illnesses particular to the Bramble region—the climate, the uranium mine, that nasty ancient curse are all a factor. Sean Ennis is the author of HOPE AND WILD PANIC (Malarkey Books) and CUNNING, BAFFLING, POWERFUL (Thirty West). He lives in Mississippi.
