Beatrice rolls pie dough. I harvest hope from the silver Birch, sprigs of wonder and stalks of gladness from raised loamy beds. Flour smudges Beatrice’s cheek where a light kiss landed. Accusations in retreat, assumptions clarified, acceptance rises at 350º. The sweet smell of recovery pie fills our farmhouse. We smile and sip from cups of forgiveness tea.
