Garage Sale

A woman holds a garage sale for her regrets: loves lost, paths not taken, dreams not lived, cakes avoided on account of calories. Sidewalk strollers come to browse, but none buy. Mostly, they’re already full up on regrets of their own. There’s a glut in the market. Myself, I’ve accumulated plenty over the years, but I buy up hers anyway. I don’t want to look back later and feel like I missed out on the opportunity.
